Current Need

The Director of MHS Acute Care Solutions will, in conjunction with the VP of MHS Marketing, establish the Acute Care market strategies and drive those strategies¿ execution. They will be responsible for the overall solution set strategy targeting the Acute Care segment within MHS and will effectively manage MHS strategic solution sets composed of numerous products/programs. The director will oversee Acute Care strategic solutions development, integration, and marketing.

The director will collaborate with other members of the MHS marketing team (MHS Product Marketing Demand Generation) and US Pharma Marketing teams, as well as other functional departments (Finance, Pharmacy Optimization, Generics, Sales Effectiveness, Sales, and others) within US Pharma. Additionally, this position will also collaborate with other McKesson Business Units and coordinate cross-business unit activities.

This position will have several direct reports, including but not limited to solutions marketing managers and specialists. Occasionally, this position will be called upon to lead mission critical, strategic projects requiring executive vision, insight, and influence to meet projects¿ objectives.

Position Description

Responsible for directing the development of company marketing programs. Responsible for assessment of existing and potential markets, product life-cycle planning, coordination of technical product development, development of product strategies, definition of promotional activities and product launch. Activities may include technical sales support, product advertising/promotion, planning, developing and implementing multiple channel programs, and directing the development of company market requirements for specific product(s) or product line(s).

Additional Knowledge Skills

¿ 10 years marketing experience, solution-focused marketing preferred

¿ Familiarity with healthcare, hospitals, or alternate site (long term care, infusion, hospice) care settings preferred

¿ Ability to exert executive presence and leadership capabilities to influence others

¿ Sound business acumen and analytic skills

¿ Experience with MS Office Suite

¿ Strong written and verbal communication skills

¿ Experience with Salesforce.com, working with advertising agencies, and managing a project budget are desirable.

Minimum Requirements

8+ years of marketing experience including 5+ years managerial experience

Education

4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
