*Director, MRO and Services~ Job in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania US
Alcoa is seeking a Director, MRO and Services to work in our Global Business Service group. The Director, MRO Services will report to the Global Director, Indirect Commodity Management and will be located in Pittsburgh, PA. The Director, MRO and Services primary function is to provide leadership in identifying opportunities, defining and deploying commodity sourcing strategies globally for a specific commodity group. The Director, MRO and Services develops, deploys and maintains global commodity strategies and implementation plans to leverage opportunities across sub-commodities and monitors compliance in order to capture leveraged savings. This position is for leadership in commodity management, strategic sourcing, portfolio management, TCO, value chain analysis, supplier relationship management and savings initiative implementation across business units and sites globally.
Responsibilities:
- Develops global commodity strategies that are consistent with short and long term strategic plans.
- Identifies appropriate Commodity Team Sponsorship and Membership from the business to help develop and execute value added sourcing strategies for the company.
- Develops a network of global and regional commodity managers as well as global and regional procurement operations personnel with intimate knowledge of the commodities and the business within the portfolio to deliver effective strategies.
- Identifies the key stakeholders across the enterprise to gain a clear understanding of the business needs to enable the creation of the commodity vision and objectives.
- segmentation, to define supply side power, to identify benchmarks to help identify supply side opportunities.
- Analyzes the demand side for a commodity by completing spend histories and demand forecast, by identifying current suppliers, determining procurement involvement, historical contract compliance, and demand segmentation to enable the identification of demand side opportunities.
- Analyzes the supply demand interfaces by analyzing TCO and cost drivers, procurement value levers, product/portfolio segmentation and channels, along with risks to define innovative
- Develops the major strategic options and builds the business case to define the global commodity strategy that maximizes value to Alcoa.
- Works with the Global Director, Indirect Commodity Management, Regional Procurement Directors and Regional ICM Leaders to ensure the global commodity strategy is aligned to Procurement and the Corporate and Business Units strategies.
This job carries responsibility for executing on MRO and Site Serivces activities and initiatives
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering
- 10+ years of progressive experience working within the procurement field
