Job Title:  Director, NYSE Liffe Clearing Development

Purpose of the role:
To be accountable for the development and success of our clearing services provision to NYSE Liffe.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Management of all aspects of the NYSE Liffe clearing business, including interaction with NYSE Liffe as outsourcing service provider;
- Take a key role in relationship management with existing and potential Futures Options Members for LIFFE Clearing;
- Contribute to the management and coordination of interaction with the market participants and other users on the NYSE Liffe service developments and enhancements including the production of presentation/marketing materials;
- Responsibility for developing productive relationships with users of the NYSE Liffe clearing service including ensuring the service adequately meets different User group needs in terms of access, product scope and process integration;
- To be one of the public voices for our clearing service at industry seminars, conferences and multilateral meetings;
- Coordinating of NYSE Liffe service development priorities ensuring that NYSE Liffe’s needs are appropriately prioritised within the overall service development schedule;
- Ensuring that the NYSE Liffe service is developed in a consistent manner with other OTC clearing offerings; and
- Working with colleagues and professional advisers to ensure constructive dialogue, timely approval and coordination of changes to the service with all relevant regulators, including Bank of England, CFTC and SEC.

Qualifications / education:

Essential:
- Educated to at least Degree Level or equivalent.

Desirable:
- Additional qualifications (e.g. Masters or industry specific).
- Project Management Qualifications.

Knowledge / experience:
Essential:
- 3 years + relevant derivatives (or related products) experience is essential;
- The job holder will ensure they remain current with all developments affecting the service (European, US and International) including regulatory reform and will be a key opinion former with regard to positioning the NYSE Liffe clearing service within the market within the broader context of our clearing offerings;
- The job holder will be expected to work closely with senior colleagues on resolving operational issues or service disruption with the objective of protecting the NYSE Liffe service franchise;
- The job holder will also work closely with senior colleagues on development activities and will contribute to the production of work products.

Desirable:
- Strong contact base within contemporaries at other financial institutions;
- Participation in industry working groups;
- Background in markets or clearing and settlement process.

Work skills / general skills:
- Strong analytical and project management skills are required to develop and improve clearing house processes. 
- High-level of knowledge of markets or clearing and settlement services (preferably both);
- The candidate must be multi-disciplined in their approach to managing business priorities.
- The candidate must be articulate with good interpersonal skills as they will be communicating processes (including written documents) and procedures to all levels through out the business.
- The candidate will be responsible for the upward reporting to senior management.
