Position Description:

The Assets Protection Director is responsible for securing the assets of the New York store. This includes minimizing and controlling the store’s physical and paperwork shortage through shortage awareness prevention and training programs, the management of internal and external theft and the safety program. The Assets Protection Director ensures the building is physically secure on a 24-hour basis.

Key Accountability:
• Shortage results – Maintain integrity of physical inventory by monitoring reports and audits. Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all levels.
• Associate Engagement – Attract, recruit, retain and develop the best workforce in NYC. Encourage a fun yet productive environment. Direct/coach/counsel/measure performance.
• Internal/External theft – Conduct investigations and bring to resolution. Build relationships with local law reinforcement and other retailers to keep up with trends and patterns.
• Safety Program – Manage the safety program and work with others to correct unsafe conditions. Insure all training (legal, government, emergency) conducted and incompliance.
• Financial – Manage payroll and non-payroll budgets. Control expenses.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Verbal and written communication skills with all levels. Ability to work independently. Problem solving and analytical skills.
• Must have 10 years asset protection management experience in a large environment. Must have NYS Security certification.
