The position of Director of Business Development is to assist in the planning, execution, field support and reporting of marketing and sales-level projects according to goals,budgets, and managements expectations. This includes managing the efforts of team members and assigned field personnel as well as executing project tasks as necessary to deliver projects according to plan. The role reports to the VP / GM within Canteen’s Strategic Initiative CDC ( Coffee Distributing Corporation ).
Responsibilities:
- Work with CDC sales team on a day to day basis to ensure maximum account opportunities in new business.
- Directly assist CDC sales team in maintaining existing client base and growth of existing sales within those clients.
- Identification and leadership of new markets and products within CDCs delivery and service scope
- Training on new product knowledge and updates on fresh market offerings.
- Assist team in Time and resource management to maximize effectiveness and market impact ( productivity )
- Establish individual and team revenue goals
- Direct input to annual budget development
- Assisting the field in / with large accounts or complicated deal development
- Direct involvement in account retention
- Approval of new business proformas
- Assist in the development of project scope, progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Liaise with management and field personnel on an ongoing basis.
- Manage assigned Marketing, sales operational projects from beginning to end.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to field.
- Continually manage project expectations with team members, field personnel and management.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts with clients and operations.
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables effectively.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the CDC revenue growth goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree required.
- Very professional and executive business acumen in leadership traits
- Minimum 10 years experience in B2B marketing sales.
- Experience in marketing via internet and social media outlets
- Willingness to travel up to 5-10%
- Experience in OCS and Pantry food services industry required.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project environment.
- Flexible during times of change.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs .
- Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills a must.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
