The Director of Business Development shall be responsible for:
Securing the participation of targeted multi-store retailers and vendors of gift and home décor products. Some of the tasks associated with this responsibility are likely to include:

Working with the VP of Business Development and other team members to develop a targeted list of vendors and multi-store retailers
Collaborating with Marketing and other team members to develop effective sales materials, including presentations Integrating with vendor partners, retailer customers and sales agency partners to get their support in securing multi-store retailers and vendor partnerships
Compellingly presenting solutions and its services
Qualify multi-store retailer and vendor prospects to determine what level of participation is appropriate and feasible
Consummating contractual relationships with multi-store retailers and vendor partners as appropriate
(Once a multi-store retailer or vendor has agreed to participate), ensuring an effective ‘hand-off” with implementation teams
Continuing to develop and expand relationships with vendors and multi-store retailers
Supporting reputation, branding, and other initiatives in the best possible fashion 

Ideal Qualifications:
Talented sales professional with extensive experience making “conceptual” sales
A passionate commitment to the success of independent retailers and vendors in  selling gift and home décor products
Extensive network of relationships with retailers and vendors of gift and home décor products
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and develop creative and effective solutions to business problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior consultative and negotiation skills
Demonstrable track record of closing agreements
Ability to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
