In 2007 Resources started the business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with an office in Frankfurt. In 2009 the Zürich office was opened followed in March 2010 by Munich. To support the rapidly growing business and to capitalize on the strong potential of this geographic area we are looking for a highly professional Director of Client Services located in Frankfurt.

The Position

The Director of Client Service has primary responsibility for the development of new business; the management of existing clients, engagements and Professionals; and participates in recruiting of Professionals.

Responsibilities

-Continually develop new business by identifying target clients, networking, meeting with target clients, and selling all Resources’ service lines, in particular Finance Accounting, Governance, Risk, Compliance, Information and Project Management, Procurement and HR.

-Cultivate and expand existing business relationships through frequent communication and regular client visits.

-Sell projects to new and existing Clients, clarifying the scope of projects with clients, identifying business solutions, presenting qualified Consultants to the client, and negotiating contractual and billing arrangements in close cooperation with the Managing Directors.

-Coach Clients and Consultants on assignments, including development of project and progress plans, project counseling and controlling, feed-back on Consultants performance and if necessary crisis management.

-Expand existing Client relations by cross-selling into new functional and organizational areas.

-Identify future project needs of client and minimizes engagement disruption through managing engagement and ensuring clients’ expectations are met.

-Maintain strong communications with Consultants assigned to client engagements.

-Pursue business referrals from other Resources offices and coordinate openings and assignments with Resources colleagues around the world.

-Ensure approved business contracts are executed by taking responsibilities for the completion of all engagement paperwork.

-Assist in the recruitment and relationship management of Consultants, conduct interviews and assess skill set and competencies of candidates, negotiate Consultants’ compensation.

-Provide for timely collection of receivables by monitoring payment of client invoices.

-Participate in the internal Resources subject matter expertise groups and help to further develop adequate business material.

-Support team goals of the office by participating in strategy meetings, including discussing candidate and pipeline of Consultants, marketing strategies, and current challenges.

-Represent Resources in appropriate professional and community organizations.

Professional Qualifications

The candidate must have the following areas of expertise:

-University Degree in Economics or comparable

-Strong experience in Business Development and Sales within a Professional Services, Audit, Consulting, Industrial / Financial Services or similar company based on solid knowledge in either Accounting Finance, Audit, Information / Project Management.

-Experience in working in international environments and with multi-national companies / cultures.

-Fluent in English and native or fluent German.

-Demonstrated track record of positive change in all positions held.

-Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients’ needs and issues.

-Ability to negotiate and communicate complex concepts/business issues verbally and in writing to Clients, Consultants and management.

-Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects and proven ability to develop business relationships.

-Enjoys working in international environments

-Comfortable with travel within the region and to other Resources offices.

Reporting Location

The Director of Client Service reports to the Managing Director, Germany Switzerland in Frankfurt.
