Description:
The Director of Clinical and Social Services ensures quality care and oversees Clinical and Social Services functions of the shelter according to DHS regulatory and accreditation requirements. This individual is responsible for the oversight and implementation of care and resources for the purpose of meeting the physical, emotional and social needs of patients and/or clients. The Director of Social Services provides supervision to the Intake Services and Case Management Teams and works with the Program Director to develop, implement, track, report, and evaluate measurable outcomes.
Requirements
To qualify must have:
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work and a current LCSW license in New York state
- 4+ years of post-master's work experience
- 2+ years supervisory experience in delivering Social Services in a DHS-regulated shelter environment or clinical setting.
- 3+ years of experience working with the mentally ill population
- Successful completion of SIMI (Seminar in Field Instruction) preferred
- Professional experience or desire to work with homeless and other underserved populations and communities.
Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
