Position Description:

Summary:
Highly motivated individual that can manage people, multiple product lines and teams. Self starter with a strategic vision to plan and execute deliverables on time and with the up most quality. Must be able to provide product definition, direction and clinical expertise on multiple projects.

Responsibilities:
• Plans, motivates and directs Clinical Engineering group to drive the overall strategic initiatives
• Develops, leads, coaches and builds Clinical Engineering team
• Establishes and follows consistent processes and metrics to effectively measure and improve team performance.
• • Experience with clinical research activities in support of RD initiatives, regulatory submissions and promotional needs.
• Experience with support of compliance to medical related Standards (i.e. ISO 13485)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a wide range functions and levels of expertise is essential.
• Excellent record keeping, organizational skills, and problem solving abilities.
• Able to work both independently and as a team member.
• Experience coordinating, prioritizing, and setting timelines for multiple tasks.
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Works closely with other key stakeholders to define new products and to ensure these meet customer needs
• Support the product developers and clinical Engineers/analysts as the project team converts specifications into actualized product.
• Establish and maintain contact with clinical experts for understanding of clinical needs, clinical workflow, product opportunities, and technology direction.
• Ensures company and team compliance to all internal SOPs and relevant US, EU and other industry regulations. Develop and/or improve development processes, procedures and protocols.
• Drive program planning, strategic planning and department-wide process improvement initiatives
• Contribute technical data and project management data to the cross-functional product team
• Represent the department and company factually and professionally in facility audits.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:
• BS in an Engineering discipline is required. Masters or PHD highly preferred.
• 15+ years of experience within the medical device industry or equivalent are preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of management experience with the ability to lead and effectively manage people and teams.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations
• Previous hospital or industry experience
