Director of College Relations Job in Dekalb 60115, Illinois US

The College of Education at Northern Illinois University is seeking a Director for its office of College Relations. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing the public relations and communications plans for the college. This includes working with a variety of constituents to advance innovative planning focused on recruitment, programs, special events, student and alumni engagement.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or related area (master’s degree or enrollment in a master’s program preferred) with excellent writing and visual communications experience. Strong collaboration and problem solving skills as well as the ability to strategize and prioritize to meet goals is required. Candidates should be proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel and have at least five years of professional work experience in related role. This is a 12-month, full time position beginning June 1, 2012.
