We currently have a need for an experienced Director of Continuous Improvement to manage and lead our continuous improvement initiatives throughout the company. This position will be based in our Daleville, Indiana facility which is located just 35 miles northeast of Indianapolis off of I-69.
As the Director of Continuous Improvement for Sherry, the individual selected will work closely with supervisors and analysts throughout the company to continue training associates in critical Lean philosophies. The successful candidate will facilitate and lead Kaizen events, implement 5S strategies and programs, incorporate Value Stream Mapping and work collaboratively with associates throughout the company to eliminate excess motion and waste, increase floor space utilization, reduce Turn-around Time and cost while improving On-Time Delivery. An understanding of Overall Equipment Effectiveness measurement techniques is also important in this position.
The dominant objective of this position is to put in place systems and practices that improve overall efficiency and eliminate waste and cost.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical or engineering field or equivalent business experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven leadership experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of Lean and/or Six Sigma experience.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma certification – Black Belt preferred.
- At least 10 years of total work experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- Project management skills/experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
