Job Description:
A Director of Engineering position is available for an individual who has strong engineering skills within an aerospace electronics manufacturing environment, a passion for engineering and management and an interest in bringing those two skills!
If you are an outstanding Senior manager with engineering experience in either electronics, avionics, electromechanical, sensors or controls manufacturing experience, please read on!
What you need for this position:
- Bachelors in an Engineering discipline required
- A minimum of 10 years in one of the above engineering disciplines and at least 10 years in a
senior management role, preferably at an executive level
- Knowledge of DO178-B and DO254 guidelines
- Experience with department turnarounds
- An innate and/or developed ability to manage the details of the engineering process and personnel at the same time to to a successful conclusion
- Successful experience in process design and implementation
- A mastery of creative and innovative design that exceeds customer expectations
- Outstanding leadership, influencing and mentoring skills
- Current or recent experience as part of an executive team
- Masters in Engineering., PMP certification or an MBA preferred
What you'll be doing:
- Creating the strategic vision for an initial review and evaluation, a one year, three year and five year projections, personnel and resources for your group
- Rolling up your sleeves and getting into the details to insure your group is on target, on time and
under budget
- Joining the executive team and assuming the accountability of the long term success and development of your staff as well as project successes and future capabilities
