Director of Equities recruitment

Key Aspects of the Role:

* Managing Multi-Client Multi-Manager Pooled Funds.

* Working with other equity portfolio managers and advisers as necessary, designing the profile of the sub-funds and/or initiating redesign of the profiles of these sub-funds; monitoring existing managers; identifying selecting potential replacement managers; and conducting portfolio construction analysis.

* Reviewing investor needs and, if appropriate, initiating design of structure of new sub-funds, e.g. small cap equities, identifying and selecting potential investment managers.

* Co-managing and coaching the Company's Equities Private Equity (senior) portfolio managers.

* Leading the Company's Equity Product Group Team and participating on the Other Alternatives Product Group Team.

* Functioning as a thought leader. Transforming knowledge into new investment ideas and providing strategic thought leadership on innovations, for example, with regard to low volatility equities, hedge fund strategies with a link to equity or alternative investments such as 130/30 and other long/short-term products and market neutral strategies.

* Providing input or conducting specific projects as requested for other company global funds in equity-related areas.

The Person:

We require an investment expert who has managed a variety of investment products and has been involved with investment strategy setting and implementation for a sizeable investment manager and/or pension fund through several market cycles.
It is preferable if you have extensive knowledge of and experience with pooling structures.
