Director of ETP Data Services
FTSE has established strong relationships with many of the world’s ETF issuers. It currently serves clients in all of the World’s major geographies and has built strong relationships with more than 40 issuers including Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street. FTSE is now the third largest provider of both equity and fixed income ETF benchmarks. Overall, more than $150BN of ETF assets are benchmarked to FTSE indices.
With a strong presence in the benchmark space, FTSE is looking to increase its share of related ETP data services including IOPV and tracking error calculations. It intends to offer this service across all issuers using either FTSE benchmarks or with products listed on London Stock Exchange Group exchanges. In order to build share in this increasingly competitive segment, FTSE is seeking to recruit an individual to lead this program.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of the ETP Service Unit and working within a team that includes ETP relationship specialists in the US and Europe and a small dedicated group of analysts and programmers headed by the Director of ETP Product Solutions, the Director of ETP Data Services will be responsible for driving FTSE’s (and the Group’s) share of ETP data services including IOPV.
In this role the Director of ETP Data Services will also work closely with regional sales heads and teams in Asia, Australia and South America; with our Global Strategic Account Team and with the team at The London Stock Exchange Group.
The role will be based in either London or New York. Some international travel will be required.
What we are looking for from you
- Solid experience in ETP issuer relationship management in the financial information services industry
- Excellent relationship building skills and proven experience of successful client relationship management
- Solid experience and knowledge of ETP’s and their application in the development and execution of investment strategies
- Good presentational and written communication skills. Evidence of ability to work at senior levels in ETP organizations is essential
- Able to operate relatively independently, whilst working within a broader matrix organization structure
- Commercially focused
- Willingness to embrace cold calling approaches to open client dialogue
- Good contacts and a network among ETP issuers would be advantageous
