Our Client is an independent investment firm which provides asset management services to substantial private clients, charities and endowments across the world.

This is a varied role and will suit a hard-working individual seeking to lead the finance team in a successful, growing investment management firm.

Main Responsibilities:

Our Client is looking for a professional with extensive financial and management accounting experience to take on all aspects of the firm and the group's finances.

The key objectives of the role are:
1.to provide the partners with the right information to drive forward the business in all aspects;
2.to manage the firm's relationships with its auditors and other external advisors;
3.to ensure that costs are kept under control by giving budget holders key information;
4.to oversee finance-related regulatory reporting and compliance;
5.to manage the financial aspects of key strategic initiatives (including JVs and acquisitions), in terms of financial due diligence, evaluation of systems people and integration; and
6.to manage the finance team of 3 people.

Skills Characteristics:

*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Experience of regulatory capital calculations
*Comprehensive understanding of corporate partnership tax as well as VAT
*Multi-jurisdictional experience is important, in terms of tax, transfer pricing and multi-currency accounts billing
*Experience of planning, executing and integrating acquisitions and joint ventures
*Advanced skill level for Excel
*Experience of Sage 200 would be advantageous
*Attention to detail is key
*Outstanding organisation skills
*Ability to meet conflicting priorities whilst working under pressure
*Must treat all aspects of the work with high confidentiality and discretion

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with proven previous financial and management accounting experience within a growing, professional corporate environment. Experience with an FSA-regulated firm is necessary.
