Texas Children’s Pediatric Associates has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Finance to be responsible for the oversight and management of all practice financial and MD compensation activities and the interface of the function with the TCH system for the purpose of attaining the goals and objectives set forth by TCPA leadership and respective Boards. Major responsibilities include the timely reporting of TCPA's financial performance and related metrics, leading the annual budget process and monitoring function, the accurate and timely administration of the MD compensation program, ensuring internal financial systems and controls are effective while fostering positive and customer focused relationships with staff, TCPA and TCH leadership and practicing physicians.
Knowledge and skill set required:
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), operational accounting procedures and a basic understanding of non-profit accounting
- The ability to use computerized accounting systems, word processing, spreadsheets, database, ten-key by touch, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing with subordinates, executive level management and professional level positions outside of IDS
- Requires strategic influence skills, analytical thinking, tactical planning skills, attention to detail, time management skills and conflict resolution skills
Education and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
- A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an accounting environment of a large organization or public accounting firm
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role
- Master’s Degree and/or CPA is preferred
