Director of Finance recruitment
Our client is a leading diversified Hong Kong listed conglomerate with significant investments in property, hospitality, retail, media and financial services. The group is undergoing a process of evolution from a traditional Chinese family culture to a thriving and progressive listed corporation, and is seeking an experienced CFO to help navigate this transformation. You must have worked for over 20 years in both a Chinese family environment and a publicly-listed corporate, and will be particularly adept at building bridges and nurturing strong relationships throughout the organization. You will demonstrate a deep respect for the company’s history and achievements to date, and share the founder’s vision for the future. Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Managing Director with dotted line to the Founder and Board of Directors
- Responsible for overall financial management of the group, including all listed and privately-held businesses
- Partner with individual operations to continuously improve business performance across the group
- Coordinate and prepare annual budget
- Review, manage and upgrade financial management measures and controls
- Liaise with auditors for annual audit
- In charge of all HKEx listing requirements and investor relations
- Lead preparation of monthly management reporting and annual financial statements
Requirements:
- At least 20 years of experience, with a mix of family-owned and HKEx-listed company exposure
- Degree in Accountancy with further internationally-recognised professional qualifications
- Broad industry exposure, ideally gained in a senior finance position in a diversified conglomerate
- Outstanding technical abilities in accounting standards, taxation, IPO, MA, financing and HKEx listing rules
- Sharp-thinker, always in command of the numbers, deeply understanding all aspects of the business
- Outstanding manager of people and relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Precise and effective communicator, especially with the Board of Directors and external investors
- Willing to travel internationally
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
