Title:
Director of Financial Investigations
Role Purpose:
To assist in leading the expansion of the financial investigations business in Asia.
You will be responsible for leading complex problem solving engagements with a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of investigators, political risk consultants and crisis management professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Investigations in developing and implementing a strategy to grow the investigations business in Asia.
- You will act as the lead case manager for investigations, and will be responsible for developing proposals and servicing multiple investigative assignments through in-house and outside resources. You will conduct investigative interviews, identify, collate and analyse evidence and prepare papers and reports in support of client requests and litigation.
- Act as a lead on major projects, at times with a multijurisdictional focus, across a range of internal business units.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts and collaborating on business development opportunities
- Provide expert knowledge of fraud, corruption, collusion, conflict of interest and the tool and processes used to prevent and respond to significant risk events.
Required Experience:
- Extensive investigative experience in a demanding commercial environment. Professional fraud examination qualifications together with experience in conducting fraud and corruption investigations essential.
- Experience in a corporate/consulting environment working with multinational companies.
- Experience in one or more of the following: anti-corruption prevention/law, strategy/strategic planning, complex problem solving, crisis management, fraud prevention and risk management.
- Must have experience of, or be familiar with, the responsibilities of senior management or the Board facing complex situations.
- Strong business development and communication skills.
- Experience in the application of a recognised investigative.
- Experience in a multi-cultural environment and demonstrated cross cultural awareness.
- Willingness to travel at short notice.
- Knowledge of business risks and operational conditions in Asia
Qualifications:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Excellent oral and written presentation skills
- Relevant qualifications in law, fraud investigations, business continuity, risk management and adult education and training
- Fluent English (Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia/Melayu will be a plus).
