Position Description
Director of Financial Planning
$800M central phoenix corporation seeks a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead MA Valuations, sophisticated modeling of expansion initiatives, and providing recommendations related to corporate financial results. Execute, financial planning processes, including analysis of financial results, consolidation of financial forecasts and budgets, the preparation and validation of financial models (analytical framework) related to projects and initiatives within the company and the control of Corporate cost centers relative to their budgets.
The position reports to VP of FPA and offers great upward mobility opportunity.
Essential Functions:
* Manages and reviews the annual budget process
* Prepares Corporate Flash and EBITDA reports
* Reviews and presents consolidated and regional financial analyses
* Reviews analyzes corporate expenses and trends
* Prepares and maintains projection model
* Monitors and maintains "contra" models
* Assists in the preparation of rating agency presentations
* Maintains financial covenant testing/analysis and projection covenants
* Reviews and communicates consolidated financial trends with Treasurer
Additional Duties:
* Ad hoc reporting
* Oversees financial budget system
* Consolidated and Regional financial reporting
* Other variance analysis
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years experience in relevant analytical and/or finance positions at a divisional or corporate level with at least three years of analyst experience and two years of managerial experience.
* Have a thorough understanding of accounting and corporate finance, including the relationships between primary financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement).
* Have a working understanding of:
* Revenue Recognition
* Excess Obsolete Inventory
* Bad Debt Reserves
* Proven ability to effectively interact with multiple organizational units and understands cross-functional relationships within an organization.
* Advanced modeling and data management skills, including MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word and MS PowerPoint
* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
* Advance verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/assignments under tight timelines
Requirements:
* B.A. in Finance, Economics or Accounting
* CFP preferred
* MBA
* Heavy modeling background preferred
* Transportation, Retail, Manufacturing backgrounds a plus
