This role reports to the Global Director of Lateral Recruiting
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning of overall recruitment
strategy for global investment businesses. - Lead and manage a team, including coaching,
developing mentoring a range of levels in different
geographies. - Directors in Recruiting at BlackRock have a
'player / coach' role - the successful candidate will actively
recruit across the Investments team. The average requisition
workload for a Director of Recruiting is 15 open
positions. - Determine communication strategy with internal
clients, including the design and execution of dashboards, metrics
and market / competitor intelligence. - Manage key search firm relationships to optimize
the quality of the search and help facilitate the hiring manager /
search firm relationship - Be a brand ambassador for BlackRock - ensure
that all candidate and vendor relationships reflect the principles
and culture of the firm - Implement best practice in candidate assessment
- interview candidates for critical roles in the business and
provide meaningful feedback to enhance best practice
hiring - Enhance the candidate experience
- Contribute to cross functional projects and HR
strategy - Work with key partners in HR to align HR and
Recruiting strategy and provide seamless support to internal
clients - Contribute to overall thought leadership on
Talent Acquisition strategy and leadership
Qualifications:
- 10 - 15 years recruiting, executive search or
related talent acquisition / talent management experience focused
on senior level placements in financial services - Knowledge of asset management and financial
services preferred - Proven ability to develop strong business
partnerships with client groups and be effective at consulting and
making recommendations to hiring managers based on industry
knowledge / experience - An effective team player, able to work with
people of all levels - Ability to influence at senior stakeholder
level - Demonstrated ability to operate and create
results with limited oversight - High level of self-motivation
- Demonstrated experience with creative sourcing
methods via networking, organizations, internet sourcing, referrals
and direct recruiting - Excellent interpersonal, communication and
relationship-building skills required - Undergraduate degree required
- Post graduate degree and language skills a
plus
