Director of Labor Relations
The Director of Labor Relations will be responsible for the management of the labor relations program for a national organization with locations though out the United States. The incumbent will analyze collective bargaining agreements to develop interpretation of intent, spirit, and terms of the contracts. Advise management and union officials in development, application, interpretation of labor relation policies and practices. Monitor implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions, to ensure compliance with terms of labor contract.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Develop framework for labor negotiations at each facility
Represents company with labor contract negotiations
Ensure compliance with terms of labor contracts
Oversight of grievance investigations and resolution
Analyze statistical data for use in labor contract negotiations
Proactively manage labor cost to ensure alignment with financial targets.
The qualified candidate will possess the following skills:
A Bachelor’s Degree, but Masters Preferred.
A minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience in related field with emphasis on labor relation
Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional written and oral communication style
Ability to manage multiple critical timelines
