Job Posting Title Director of Lowe s Private Brands Job ID 264004BR Job Category Brand Department 0187 - Private Brands Management Employment Type I Regular Employment Type II Full-Time Location # 1999 Location Name CSC-Mooresville City Mooresville State NC Job Description The Director of Lowe s Private Brands is responsible for the following for all assigned Private Brands: Strategic planning, business development (including research), business management and Brand strategy Short term and long term sales and profitability growth as well as product group penetration, consistent with goals and targets Product line integrity and expansion plans Product quality optimization Customer Satisfaction and Brand shopping experience Strategic guidance of packaging graphics, and copy to support and reinforce Private Brand strategies Metric development and usage of weekly dashboards, ad hoc business modeling, Brand Health reporting, promotional performance, etc. Legal Trademark business processes for Private Brand taglines, logos, claims, collection names, expansions, new business concepts, etc Leading cross functional project teams to execute Brand strategies, achieve business goals, meet customer expectations and offer differentiated product, where possible Managing relevant budget functions to targets Development and leadership of direct reports Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Provides leadership, direction, management and stewardship of assigned Private Brands as businesses. Works closely with Merchandising MDs, PDGS, Marketing, PR, dot com, in-store signage and others to ensure alignment behind business goals. Leads work-streams (both departmental and cross functional) to insure the successful implementation of programs, plans and targets Meets all business goals, targets and objectives; manages expenses to Plan Monitors and maintains Private Brand health Uses Market Research and customer data to build stronger Private Brands Builds customer awareness as possible to (1) draw the customer to the store, (2) close the customer at the shelf, (3) provide products that differentiate Lowe s/PB and (4) offer customers value Provides leadership for assigned Brands in a way that builds teamwork, trust, respect and fosters new and different thinking Understands customer needs and opportunities in an effort to build assigned Private Brand sales and credibility in the Marketplace Explores best practices related to branding, both inside and outside of the industry, and recommends potential new approaches and processes Travels, as necessary, to attend consumer research studies, attend / participate in trade shows, attend / participate in Lowe s Vendor Forum and Sales Meeting, meet with Vendors, Licensors, or Agencies. POSITION REQUIREMENTS 4 year degree in Business or related field and/or relevant work experience 7+ years experience in Brand Management or Business Development function in a consumer products manufacturer, advertising, or retail environment. Previous supervisory experience. High degree of proficiency on Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
