SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Director of Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for ensuring Manufacturing Engineering excellence across each of Jabil’s global manufacturing facility footprint. The Director is defined as the “architect” of business processes and systems, which are designed to deliver superior performance and operational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Drive key objectives globally as directed by Executive Staff including Lean, Six Sigma and OEE improvements
•Define the most efficient processes, tools and equipment strategies to support Jabil’s wide customer base
•Co-ordinate plant input to tool set requirements and drive corporate wide consistency
•Prioritize strategic initiatives and create implementation plans in conjunction with corporate IT.
•Develop supporting metrics for business processes
•Develop strategies and maintain best-in-class supplier B2B agreements and cost structures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•A BSME, BSIE, BSBA, BSTM or equivalent education and experience
•Extensive knowledge of Jabil philosophies and processes a plus
•Expert in functional discipline and systems which supports functional processes
•Ability to develop strategic plans and develop vision and roadmap for meeting future customer and technology demands in support of a growing customer base
•Proven track record in driving and implementing change in organizations
•Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
•A minimum of ten years of related functional and management experience
•Lean and Six Sigma experience a plus
