Director of Marketing and Sales Job in Bryan, Ohio US

Position Title: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND SALES

Purpose: To lead, direct and coordinate marketing and sales development actions that will ensure meeting sales, market share and profitability objectives.

Location: Office location based out of Company headquarters in Bryan, OH.

 

Essential Functions:

 

·         Manage the overall Marketing and Sales Efforts related to our Residential and Industrial product lines.

·         Assist in the development of new business relationships and generate new income to agreed targets.

·         Develop and define new Marketing and Sales opportunities via new channels to market, new products, new communications techniques, etc. and make recommendations for activities to be targeted.

·         Responsible for developing strategic account relationships to develop new revenue growth by exploring currently non-existent market segments within the framework of our core competencies.

·         Establish and maintain close relationships with key customers, sales representatives, and distributors and make periodic visits to their facilities.

·         Attend and participate in key industry and trade associations to further enhance Allied’s recognition.

·         Communicate and share knowledge through regular competitive intelligence reports, including a regular evaluation of competing products.

·         Effective interaction and communications with the National and Regional Sales Managers to analyze territories for identifying high potential and sustainable growth opportunities.

·         Coordinate Sales/Marketing efforts to develop sales forecasts used for business plan development, production planning and other purposes.

·         Develop and recommend a Marketing and Sales expense budget to support business growth and profitability objectives.

·         Assist in directing advertising and sales promotional efforts to ensure a proper fit with Allied’s strategy, that expenses are justified, within budget and consistent with enhancing the company’s brand awareness.

·         Mentor, coach and supervise the activities of the Reporting Managers including evaluating performance and providing appraisal feedback, improvement recommendations and reward/recognition as appropriate.

·         Maintain close cooperation with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure orderly transitions of new product developments and product enhancements.

·         Provide accurate and timely meeting, trip and monthly reports to Allied management.

·         Train, mentor and lead by example to create constructive relationships by taking the initiative to make things better.

 

Education/Experience:

Four years post high school education in a related business field with a minimum of five years practical experience in Sales/Marketing or a total minimum equivalent work experience of ten years in successful strategic sales/marketing management with industrial products and services and business and engineering development.
