Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and dynamic Director of Marketing to manage and direct a fast-growing marketing program with one of America’s leading non-profits.  Prefer a professional who has 5+  years of marketing or related industry experience. Healthcare and/or non-profit experience is a plus.  Primarily responsible for developing, managing and leading the development of the marketing activities and special fundraising events programs for the organization.  Reports directly to Senior Vice President/Chief Development Officer. 

 

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for working with the Development and Marketing Teams to develop and execute a variety of promotional and fundraising activities.  Serves as a staff leader for special marketing projects and events, and acts as liaison to individual contributors and sponsoring organizations involved in these activities as well as the members of the Board of Advisors of our organization. 

 

Assists the Senior Vice President/Chief Development Officer in the planning, development and implementation of strategic marketing initiatives in assigned areas including, but not limited to, promotional events, strategic partnerships, and an array of marketing initiatives that promote awareness and support for the organization.  Works with the leadership team to conceptualize, negotiate, develop, and implement cause-related marketing initiatives to support our mission.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher.  Preferred emphasis in Marketing or Communications. 

 

Minimum of 5+ years experience with a marketing firm, agency, or related organization having performed tasks similar to those described above. .

 

Proficient computer skills, including thorough knowledge of document processing and spreadsheet (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Design skills are a plus (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).

 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to propose and implement solutions and initiatives which will achieve identified objectives, work with a limited budget, and motivate staff members and grassroots donors while communicating with and engaging the executive team. 

 

Strong ability to organize and execute multiple projects.  Strong verbal and written communication skills, a congenial personality with proactive, self-motivated work style, positive attitude and willingness to cooperate in achieving team goals and objectives.
