A workflow automation software company is looking for a Director of Marketing to drive revenue growth through the development and execution of its strategic marketing plan. The Director of Marketing will oversee the management of the promotion of product offering with a strong focus on lead generation. This position develops marketing strategies and directs the executional elements for marketing, branding, and demand generation.


Job Description

A successful candidate has a strong knowledge of marketing concepts, practices, and procedures applicable to software sales and is knowledgeable in market and industry trends, competitors, and leading demand generation strategies. The candidate has strong expertise utilizing new marketing approaches, tools, and methodologies with refined analytical and creative skills used to shape successful business processes.  

 Responsibilities include:

·     Develop product marketing strategies within the product lines and marketing function

·     Planning and executing lead generation, advertising, PR, creative editorial and design services, and growing the company’s brand presence

·     Providing leadership for day-to-day marketing operations, while maintaining a focus on strategic goals

·     Analyzing prospect demographics and developing demand generation plans that focus on conversion

·     Leads product messaging launch of new product features/versions and drives through all communication channels

·     Managing research and analysis of market opportunities consistent with long range and strategic plans

·     Works closely with Vice President of Sales to align marketing sales plans

·     Manages budget, analysis, reporting of marketing plan

 Required Skills:

·     Excellent written and verbal communication skills and displays savvy in interpersonal relationships with both external and internal customers

·     10+ years of experience as a Director of Marketing in the software or related industry

·     A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, equivalent work experience; and experience in managing people, budgets, and processes.

·     Strong focus on reporting and ROI analysis

·     Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional and team oriented environment

·     Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to deliver results with multiple and complex projects

·     Ability to lead in an environment of change

·     Highly developed teamwork skills and proven track record of motivating and energizing marketing teams

·     Proven ability to identify new market opportunities and trends

·     Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods, approaches, and departmental contribution

·     Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, profit loss calculations and basic business finance
