Director of Marketing and Public Relations

Well known South Florida entertainment company is searching for an innovative, creative, goal oriented and enthusiastic professional to join our team as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations. This position is responsible for marketing the organization’s initiatives and working to increase ticket sales, secure sponsorships, implement strategic public relations campaigns, place media and design compelling materials/advertisements. The position will also be responsible for developing a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy while working to promote the organization within all forms of media. 

 

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

·         Advertising placement
·         Campaign development, execution and tracking
·         Public Relations
·         Marketing strategy
·         Assisting in the development, securing and execution of sponsorships and fundraising materials
·         Database management
·         Research
·         Copywriting
·         Contract Negotiations for marketing and advertising projects
·         Special event coordination
·         Design of collateral materials to include brochures, direct mail, concert program book, posters, stationery, business cards, logos, print ads
·         Producing television and radio commercials
·         Managing website and social media sites
·         And any other customary and reasonable functions related to the position

 

Position assists and supports any and all other staff members with duties assigned by the Executive Director. Position reports to the Executive Director.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications: Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and minimum five years of experience in a broad array of marketing and communications functions, including oral and written communications, publishing in print, graphic design, on-line, and new media, and developing and implementing marketing and media programs, including planning and executing events. Competitive applicants will have exhibited effective interpersonal skills in dealing with external audiences and will have demonstrated creative and inspired leadership in a professional environment.  Candidates will be strategic thinkers, can demonstrate a track record of advancing the mission of an organization through effective communications strategies, and ideally will have gained substantial management experience. Experience with Adobe InDesign and PhotoShop and/or other graphic design programs required.  Must have graphic design capability to be considered.
