Director of Marketing Research

Job Description:

This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing and will provide leadership for all aspects of Marketing Research to support on-market products as well as New Products and Corporate Development initiatives. These activities will include Marketing Research planning, implementation, communication of results, and alignment of brand strategies and plans. The Director will lead a small team of Marketing Research Managers to provide a high-level of evidence-based, strategic guidance for Brand Teams and Senior Management. They will develop Marketing Research plans with an emphasis on identifying and providing insight on key strategic issues and/or opportunities for brands including; Brand Equity, Brand Positioning, Brand Messaging, SWOTs, Situational Analysis, Barriers/Triggers to Brand Acceptance, HCP ATU, Patient ATU, Payor Analysis, Source of Business analysis, etc.

In the event that Marketing Research Vendors/Contractors are utilized, the Director will be responsible for managing all aspects of these resources including initiation of the RFP process, Vendor Selection, Study Design, Contract Execution, Budget Management, and providing direction on the Scope of Services to be provided by such resources.

This position will work collaboratively with the Gralise Brand team, New Products Marketing, Corporate Development, Sales Operations, and Senior Management, providing Marketing Research support for all current/future products. The Director will oversee all aspects of project planning; coordination and reporting, setting time lines, scheduling participant meetings, presentations, and communicating all project progress/initiatives to Brand Teams, Senior Management, and/or Vendors, where appropriate. This role calls for strong Leadership, providing input/alternative strategies for market planning, and overseeing/managing budgetary responsibility for the Department/Marketing Research projects.
