Assume 24-hour responsibility for the administration of nursing care to patients, and the performance and management of nursing personnel for perioperative services.  Provide innovative leadership to maximize the Perioperative Services Department's (OR, SPU, PACU) contribution to the overall clinical performance with responsibility for all aspects of the clinical programs including quality/core measures; ongoing definition of the metrics to implement and track the clinical and financial impact of the clinical perioperative services; budget preparation and management; departmental and customer satisfaction; overall guidance, development and supervision of the clinical nursing perioperative services staff - direct Nurse Manager reports, Assistant Nurse Managers and nursing staff.  This position reports to an Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO).
