An online trading services company specialising in Spread Betting, CFD and FX trading in London is urgently looking to recruit a Director of Operations and Risk. My client is a successful business with exciting future plans that requires an experienced and knowledgeable candidate with a background in Spread Betting, CFD and FX trading operations.
The purpose of this role is to evaluate and prioritise financial and operational risks within the day to day trading operations of the company. You will advise, design and develop risk mitigation plans, policies and procedures and monitor market and trading risk surrounding company trading operations.
As the Director of Operations and Risk - Financial services, CFD, Spread Betting, FX, Trading Operations - your responsibilities will include:
* · Establishing and testing the Company's credit and market risk appetite.
* · Establishing and testing the Company's capital and liquidity requirements and limits
* · Monitoring the adherence of trading operations to set appetite and limits.
* · Identifying, mitigating and monitoring key financial operational and fraud risks present in the trading operations.
* · Ensuring the daily reconciliation process is undertaken and issues are resolved/escalated
* · Monitoring of capital and liquidity usage against set limits
* · Managing PB relationships of the Company to ensure the most efficient use of capital and liquidity
* · Monitoring of trading on portfolio and individual client basis to identify potential risks to profitability of the firm
* · Monitoring of profitability of commercial arrangements and transactions to mitigate financial losses to the firm
* · Identifying key client risk
* · Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the organisation
* · Ensure compliance with legal requirements within business areas as advised by legal and compliance functions of Company
* · Provide overall reporting to the Board on areas of responsibility
