Director of Business Development
Executive level position, with equity compensation. As part of a small team, director of business development will take on functions of both CFO/COO type roles.
Ideal director must have comprehensive knowledge of electronics /cellular phones / gadgets / computer industry. Must be able to identify factors to drive business growth. If you have experience working for a company such as: tigerdirect, newegg, geeks.com, best buy gazelle, nextworth or similar businesses is a plus.
To be successful the director of business development must:

5 Be a self starter – be fearless yet strategic in tackling issues including rolling up your sleeves and getting involved in tactical implementation
6 Be a manager – manage the customer service team, distribution center manager, sales operations associate, and operations analyst
7 Must be able to identify process improvements in reporting, analytics, forecasting and performance metrics, develops key performance metrics and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on performance drivers
8 Ideally have experience in consumer electronics in E-commerce or Re-commerce
9 Must have knowledge of selling thru eBay, Amazon, Google.
The position report directly to the CEO and is part of the management team. Responsibilities:
Customer Experience Management
-Develop and Implement excellent customer service
Sales Support Management
- Work with the sales team giving them the tools and information they need to succeed
Develops Key Performance
- Develop key performance metrics and dashboard that help the sales organization focus on performance drivers
Distribution Center Management
- Support distribution center team by developing the systems and processes to streamline inventory and fulfillment logistics
Facilitate Business Growth
-Work with internal team, suppliers, business partners, technology providers, and agents to facilitate business
Need to have a mindset of a scrappy startup. Expect to do everything from packing boxes to high level strategic planning.
