Job Description: The Shaw Group provides premier engineering, design, construction, and maintenance services to government and private-sector clients in a wide array of industries, including the energy, environmental, infrastructure, and emergency response markets. Summary: Environmental Infrastructure?s Commercial State and Local?s New York City office. Develop strategic business objectives to achieve maximum service potential, and to support the business initiatives and goals of the company. Develops and executes business with a targeted list of clients, with goals for revenue, cash management, and direct margin and achieving client satisfaction. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities: Provide leadership to staff and clientele to develop long-term strategic plans that support the organization's mission and goals. Direct establishment of office financial budgets and maintain adherence to budget guidelines and objectives. Utilizes a combination of project management, technical, business management, and business development skills to develop and execute business with a targeted list of commercial, state and local clients with goals for revenue, cash management, and direct margin, and achieving client satisfaction/repeat business. Functions as seller-doer or program manager directly affecting the revenue, profitability, cash flow, and repeat business of the company through the ability to develop client relationships and to successfully deliver a quality product or service to the client. Drives business development activities and may serve as a key account manager for multiple accounts. Regularly sells across geographic regions and business lines and works with peers across the entire business enterprise. Represents the company to client and maintains client relationship, often solving complex problems with innovative solutions. Oriented to winning long-term relationships by building trust and bringing value to customer?s bottom line. May contribute strategic guidance to planning level of client?s management. Contributes to company strategic planning at the core team level. Drive overall marketing strategy for the organization and is responsible for identifying and capitalizing upon new opportunities for expanding programs and services. Ensure work is within a pre-scheduled budget and is completed expeditiously with accuracy and exceptional quality, and within organization's policy and by-laws. Keep abreast of developments and changes within the industry and competitors. Write business plans and proposals that anticipate and/or meet client need. Develops proposals for new business opportunities. Will be accountable for programs; duties include negotiating contracts, initiating proposals, and closing deals. Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads a team of personnel to achieve business objectives. Responsible for identifying, mentoring, and providing professional growth opportunities for staff and establishing client focused teamwork and project execution that exceeds client expectations.
