Position Description:

Surgery- Ambulatory/PACU/Inpatient -- this position oversees the SDS, PACU, Pre-Admission Testing, Center for Procedural Care, and the inpatient units for surgical/ortho.

Scope: 20-21,000 cases annually and 40+ inpatient beds, 6 direct reports overseeing 120+ associates.

Provides coaching and development to the interdependent management teams within the Division of Patient Care Services. The Clinical Director has an integral role in cultivating an environment of innovation and continuous improvement in clinical services. The Director also contributes to the development and execution of strategy to maintain the vitality of the Division of Patient Care Services and distinguish it as “best-of-class” within Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required. Active RN license required. Masters Degree: Nursing, Business or health related field required.

Minimum of 8–10 years of Surgery experience (Ambulatory, PACU, and/or inpatient), including at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience required.

•Experience as a practicing RN with evidence of achievement in leadership activities.
•Critical thinking, problem solving, strategic planning, project management, public speaking, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
•Active membership in one or more professional organizations.
•Flexibility in scheduling hours to meet the 24 hour needs of the Patient Care Services Division.
•Requires the physical ability to walk throughout the All Saints campus and participate in patient care activities as required.
•24 hour responsibility for areas under the respective division.
•Participation in community and professional activities outside of work hours.
