DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY:
Our client, a Community Based Acute Care Hospital located within close proximity to Albany, New York is looking for a Director of Pharmacy. In addition to complete acute care services, the facility offers extensive outpatient programs and services featuring state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and progressive healthcare programs.
As the Director of Pharmacy, you will be a member of the senior leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Director of Pharmacy is responsible for developing the pharmacy division goals; to plan, implement, and evaluate standard and practices for pharmaceutical care and to oversee the delivery of high quality and cost effective pharmaceutical services. The pharmacy department is staffed 24/7 with a combination of centralized and decentralized clinical pharmacists utilizing CPOE, Smart pump and EMAR technology.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated administrative success in a hospital pharmacy administrative capacity. Baseline education should consist of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy and/or Pharm.D. (MBA and/or Masters Degree and perhaps an administrative residency are preferred but not required).
