Director of Program Management Office
This position works as an integral member of the FREC PMO team and is engaged in two primary activities:
- Develop and lead complex analysis and programs to improve or address BU real estate challenges
- Direct business analysis to support FREC PMO activities
The objective of the PMO team is to drive efficiency and consistency across FREC processes, including streamlined decision making. The Team is also responsible for sponsoring multi-disciplinary real estate initiatives that drive value across the enterprise, including workplace strategy. The Director, Workplace Analytics position works across FREC departments to gather information, develop recommendations, and secure support for real estate projects and initiatives. Work requires exceptional analytical skills, sound judgment and intellectual
curiosity. The Director is expected to lead multiple complex projects independently, communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions to complex real estate projects and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver strategic workplace initiatives that optimize and enhance business unit performance (60%)
- Partner with FREC management to develop vision for workplace programs that support business unit objectives
- Lead development and delivery of comprehensive business cases that effectively inform and influence FREC senior management and other key stakeholders
- Execute well-defined analysis including opportunity sizing, financial analysis, scenario modeling, benchmarking, industry trend assessments, and other analyses that are critical to informing short-term and long-term real estate strategies
- Manage real estate programs that operationalize strategic recommendations and assess for continuous improvement
- Provide resolution of major issues, particularly those that cross projects or have broad ramifications
- Develop a deep understanding of Fidelity business unit strategies and drivers,, identify opportunities that augment them, and ensure ongoing alignment with FREC initiatives

- Lead initiative teams and take primary responsibility for structuring and executing all parts of complex project work
- Develop and maintain influential cross-company and external business relationships
- Communicate updates on project milestones to all levels of the organization
- Direct and execute analytics to support FREC PMO priorities (40%)
- Combine analytic, business, and real estate knowledge to develop/enhance FREC operational processes
- Apply critical thinking and creativity to assess FREC organizational efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement
- Manage stakeholders to build consensus and formulate options
- Partner with FREC Finance to consider tradeoffs and assess potential value of change
- Develop fact based analytical insights for senior management decision making
- Participate in or lead special task forces, process improvement initiatives and the like, as assigned
- Develop a point of view and driving FREC thought leadership via continuous exposure to trends and research that impact corporate real estate, as well as the Financial Services industry
Education and Experience
- A Bachelors Degree is required
- Role requires 7-10 years of real estate, finance, strategic planning, or consulting experience with an MBA or equivalent advanced degree, or 10-12 years of experience if candidate does not have an MBA
