Role Overview
To ensure exposure and provision in all areas of delivery risk are managed within acceptable tolerances to protect the operating income of the country.
The successful candidate will be a member of the UK board of directors and be an active participant in the wider business issues of the organization, helping to shape and manage the vision for Steria as a whole. They are able to focus on both the profit needs of their own unit and to assist other areas of the business in meeting their profit targets. They may plan, direct and control all activities for a specific or multiple Steria unit/s and retain ownership of the PL accounts.
Role Responsibilities:
Through your team/function (which includes Operational Governance Managers, Quality and Audit Mgrs, Business Continuity/assurance Mgrs)
1. Set the strategy, scan the external market to keep abreast of industry standards, best practice and legal requirements to determine which concepts and developments need to be adopted and adapted to fit Steria’s operating environment.
2. Translate Steria group philosophies on appetite for Enterprise Risk Management into standards, processes and control checkpoints for project delivery that exceed industry best practice and legislative requirements, align with group strategies and so, offer a source of competitive advantage.
3. Establish frameworks for monitoring and measuring performance and risk against standards and control checkpoints to ensure that they are implemented and adhered to in all business areas.
4. Maintain ISO9001:2000 (or current/relevant standard) certification for the organization to demonstrate Steria’s commitment to quality.
Location – Based from Hemel Hempstead this role will involve extensive UK travel.
What we are looking for in you:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience at this level within a similar organisation and have membership of a relevant and recognised professional body. You must be able to negotiate and influence in order to bring about behavioural change and to balance the needs of many. It is essential that you possess advanced accreditation in an internationally recognised project and programme management methodology combined with an awareness of developments in the IT market and relevant best practice thinking
