We seek a Director of Vocational Rehabilitation counseling services, which entails supervision of ten clinicians on two campuses. Vocational Rehabilitation creates a continuum of supportive services to move residents and patients to active fulfillment of vocational aspirations.  The continuum begins with liaison for very disabled young adults who attend Board of Education programs off campus, includes liaison for VESID employment programs, and a variety of supportive group and individual counseling such as Fresh Start, which is pre-vocational support for individuals who need to recover lost skills or attain new ones.  All appropriate patient/residents are also introduced to the computer courses offered in our state-of-the art computer facilities, that opens up the world for those confined by their disability. The leadership position of Director of Rehabilitation Counseling is an essential element in our full rehabilitation program, as we move patients/ residents to rehabilitation and possible discharge.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Physics, Engineering or Social Services, Health Care Specialization or related programs; and, a minimum of five years of progressive, responsible experience relating to health care program planning, research, design, operations, evaluation and analysis; or,
2. A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration or
or Hospital Administration, Health Care Specialization, Business Administration or a related discipline; and, a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience directly related to health care program planning, research, design, operations, evaluation and analysis, with at least one year in supervision or planning and/or analysis; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience; and,
4. Demonstrated skills in written and oral communication.
5. A Certified Rehabilitation Counseling credential is preferred.
