The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is a long term residential rehabilitation program designed to restore the physicial, mental, and spiritual health of those who have lost the ability to provide for themselves, largely through the use of alcohol or other drugs. The Center on Chicago's near northwest side seeks a Director of Rehabilitation Services to oversee and develop this unique Christ-based program. Responsibilities include: Supervision and coordination of staff, volunteers, and student interns Ensuring consistent adherence to all policies and procedures Counseling program participants Selection and training of program staff Supervision of all aspects of the admission office and procedures Chair weekly rehabilitation staff and case conference meetings, and participate in administrative and residential staff meetings Maintain availability for individual counseling and crisis intervention as needed Assess spiritual needs of program participants and refer to Chaplain as needed
