Director of Relationship Management

FICAM operationally supports the Active Fixed Income groups that make up BNY Mellon Financial Corporation’s asset management business known as BNY Mellon Asset Management.  BNY Mellon Asset Management offers a broad range of investment products and services through its diverse investment management affiliates.  These firms, including FICAM, are among the most advanced and highly regarded names in institutional money management. 

The incumbent will lead the effort to provide tax sensitive clients with ongoing thought leadership and dialogue regarding Standish's investment philosophy, process. He/she will present investment results to clients, with thorough and deep explanation around the attribution of returns and market events. Feedback from all meetings will be documented and shared with the appropriate firm personnel. He/she will serve as the primary investment and relationship contact for tax-exempt bond clients and will be part of the investment strategy discussions and policy setting with portfolio managers, traders and analysts. Travel is required.  The incumbent may assist in and/or be responsible for developing new products, as well as performing competitive analysis and positioning. The incumbent may be involved in new business efforts (e.g., final presentations, consultant meetings, reviewing RFP language, etc.). He/she will assist in the take-on of new client accounts by coordinating the negotiation of IMA's with Legal/Compliance and defining client Investment Management guidelines jointly with PM's.   Responsible for oversight of regulatory and corporate policy regarding client service.

BA/BS degree; 15 or more years of investment experience, with an in-depth knowledge of the assigned product(s); CFA and/or an MBA preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Team player.
