Your Role
In your role as a Director, Sales and Business Development you will aggressively grow the Services business in a defined region in
Your Challenges
- With the assistance of a network of contacts, you will lead the positioning of Services for Success in all corners of the market from funding partners and Consultants to Legislators and rail transit Operators. The "Positioning Tools" include the publication of White papers and representation on trade association Committees to hosting "potential partners" on information tours and personal visits;
- Lead the assessment of defining where and when resources are deployed to capitalize on business opportunities. Tools range from informal reports and presentations to "white Books" and other comprehensive systems used in advance of major investment decisions;
- Utilize sound business acumen, probe pertinent areas of the Client's operation to define and establish opportunities to improve their business. Examples include asset utilization, skill shortages, Information Technology, regulatory compliance, and long term financial obligations such as pension contributions;
- Support the Bids and Proposals team by establishing key messages for the proposal and, as required, contribute to its publication;
- Assist the Product Management team by defining market opportunities and risks, design objectives and potential return on investment. In essence, contribute to the Business Plan as we develop new service offerings.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree of Arts or in an Engineering field;
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be considered as an asset;
- 10 years of experience in a Sales or Business Development position;
- Knowledge of the rail industry and rail products are essential.
