DIRECTOR OF SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

They began with email hosting products, and as the technology world went through major shifts, developed one of the most versatile anti-spam solutions and have now expanded into antivirus, messaging and other innovative web security products and technology.
 
The core team is creative, resilient and always growing and staying at the forefront of their industry. They are profitable, ethical and creative in adapting to market changes, with a lean team that keeps the energy and fun of a startup environment.
 
We are looking for a talented Director of Sales and Business Development who can sell these software solutions to service providers and OEM partners like McAfee, Microsoft and Openwave, who embed this engine into their software for email, security software, small devices, ATMs, kiosks, medical devices, VoIP, printers, mobile phones and any other software-based products that malware hackers go after.
 
This OEM market is small and targeted, with a sales cycle that requires building strategic relationships, a big-picture grasp of each client’s priorities, patience and persistence through the sales cycle, and the ability to understand a partner’s business model so you can calculate custom pricing based on their specific model. In other words, every sale is different so it’s always interesting.
 
Reporting to the VP Sales, who’s a great guy, you will work with the company’s technical team for product offerings and channel strategy, work with partners in the marketing collateral and proposal process, and with marketing for the message to carriers and channel partners.
 
You must have a track record selling, negotiating with and closing C-level executives in the email or web security space.
 
We are looking for someone with enough of a track record to illustrate their success (5-10 years in this space), and with a fresh understanding of this market and a desire to expand into a senior role eventually. If you are looking for a career with a small, high-caliber team, this is it.
 
Offices are located in the South Bay area, and YOU MUST BE LOCAL. You will work closely with the VP of Sales and the others on the sales team, working together in the office. There is travel, but this is not a virtual or work-from-home position.
