SALES MANAGER – AUTOMOTIVE SUPPLIER
As a fast paced, growing Tier 1 Automotive Supplier we are looking an individual with the right experience and attitude to lead our Sales Department. This ideal candidate will develop and execute sales strategies and programs, while identifying and adapting to customer issues and market trends.
SCOPE OF THE POSITION
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Maintain, manage, and grow business with all Customers.
- Manage commercial requirements for sales programs, from prototype development to production:
- Serve as liaison between customers, suppliers, and factories throughout product lifecycle for issues re: product pricing, quality, design, and delivery
- Review commercial requirements for customer quote requests (RFQ); develops quotes, based on program costs
- Negotiate sales contract with customers and suppliers; resolve contract issues
- Coordinate with engineering to ensure technical requirements are satisfied
- Provide over-all support to cross-functional teams
- Analyze customer sales forecasts and overall market to identify business trends
- Prepare and revise sales forecasts and provide to management
- Report on customer contacts, market trends, and new business opportunities
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years of automotive supplier sales experience, selling directly to OEM’s and Tier 1 Customers.
- Experience overseeing programs from start to finish
- Professional and polished verbal and written presentation skills.
- High level of business integrity
PREFERRED:
- Basic engineering knowledge
- Experience with business concepts, including finance, procurement, margin, currency exchange, supply-chain management, and cash flow
COMPENSATION
- Based Salary of $75,000 - $95,000 based upon experience
