Director of Inside Sales

The Director of Inside Sales will manage the company’s internal team of seven sales representatives.  Responsibilities will include advancing the company’s current sales strategy and instituting best practices for the company’s outbound calling efforts as well as support new products introductions.  This individual will have a proven track record of growth by driving a performance driven outbound telemarketing team, and fostering the development of sales reps and account managers.  This individual will be part of a dynamic senior team and report directly to the President.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Recruit, train, develop and manage inside sales team capable of developing new business and retaining/further penetrating existing accounts

·         Develop inside sales team success and productivity metrics, measure regularly, and record and develop sales team members skill base

·         Develop, monitor and improve direct calling strategies of sales team

·         Conduct one-on-one reviews with all sales team members to build effective communication, understand training and development needs, to ensure productivity, collaboration, morale, and success

·         Lead and be the go to person for the sales group for coaching and system, e.g. CRM, use

·         Actively engage in direct sales efforts and initiatives as both a lead and mentor

·         Create and implement practices and guidelines for how to allocate incentive programs and investments that maximize sales performance.

·         Motivate sales team to achieve beyond expectations

·         Ensure effective and consistent implementation of marketing/sales strategies through regular communication with customers and prospects

·         Critical part of senior team, working with Company’s marketing, customer service, and executive management team members to grow business and implement new sales/marketing strategies and process

Qualifications

·         Four year college degree

·         3+ years inside sales management experience

·         Business to business sales experience

·         Sales experience in a technical environment

·         Must demonstrate skills in mentoring and motivating inside sales teams

·         Solid leadership and managerial skills

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

·         Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment due to strong organizational and planning skills

·         Strong negotiation skills, works to obtain win-win environment with customers and team

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents with utmost attention to detail

·         Proficiency in use of CRM technology, Goldmine a plus
