Director of Sales (m/f) Job in Germany
Job Overview:
The Director of Sales will take a hands-on leadership approach to developing and advancing the organization using a multi-faceted sales approach. You will be responsible for analyzing markets to guide sales and marketing functions, as well as developing strategies for the application of innovative technologies
This dedicated full time position will be based in the south or southwestern region of The United States.
The position is responsible for recruiting, developing and leading new sales staff members, organizing of trade shows as well as building up sales and the business development department. They are accountable for the combined performance of the team and for ensuring that everyone within their team reaches their monthly and annual targets. The Director of Sales must have a great interest in personal development and the sharing of technical and economic knowledge through training and development including relaying information to staff from courses at Axitec’s German Headquarters.

Major Responsibilities:
- Analyze market opportunities and utilize information to develop sales/marketing strategies
- Build and maintain customer relationships through B2B sales.
- Focus on new business development to increase the company’s market share and profits
- Perform hands-on sales activities from developing sales leads to the closing of sales.
- Demonstrate leadership ability by developing, managing, evaluating and influencing a sales team to ensure high standards of sales skills and measurable results.
- Communicate and train others to communicate AXITEC’s vision.
- Assess market competition and communicate relevant information as needed.
- Determine the optimum mode of operation, in terms of territory, new business, and product lines.
- Maintain a thorough and current knowledge of current solar power market conditions, rebates, tax incentives and electric utility rate schedules.
- Must have high ethics, integrity and a desire to be part of a fast-growing international organization.
Position Requirements:
- 5-7 years of sales experience with at least 2-3 years of sales management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business is preferred; Technical background (Mechanical or System Engineering) is a plus,
- Has a background in sales/marketing and experience in the photovoltaic industry (a B2B environment is a plus).
- Has proven leadership abilities to establish, influence, develop, train and empower sales employees to achieve objectives with a strong “team” focus and approach.
- Understanding functions and capacities of ERP software platforms is a plus.
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent Communication skills (oral/written). Familiarity with German language is a plus
- Position may require 50%+ travel (both domestic international)
