Director of Site Operations

Looking for a Director of Site Operations with a strong Aerospace industry background for a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a leading manufacturing company on the Westside of Cleveland, OH. Main Scope: Provide operational leadership to areas of Production (machining and assembly), Supply Chain, Quality, Test/Repair, and Maintenance. 12 direct reports, including leadership and managerial roles 80 indirect reports Union environment Duties/Responsibilities Achieve monthly sales forecast by coordinating the efforts of Manufacturing Engineering and Materials departments to assure that adequate labor, material, and services are available to meet the sales forecast in a timely and efficient manner. Work closely with Quality Assurance to achieve high quality levels for parts and products. Actively reduce the cost of operations by reducing waste in all processes, labor and material. Improvement to supplier performance and reduce purchased part inventories. Provide sales forecast, by product line and market, personnel requirements, projected capital investment, inventory, productivity improvement projections, and associated schedules for the site's operating plan. Provide annual plans to update facility, including grounds, machinery, and equipment. Develop operations leadership team by providing challenging projects, performing regular assessments of performance, and generating development plans. Act as a member of Sr. Management committee in grievance handling, negotiations, arbitration, administration of union contract, and Affirmative Action Program. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors Degree in an Engineering/Technical, Business or Supply Chain field Masters Degree or MBA is a plus, but not required 10 years of operations management experience in a unionized aerospace production environment - machining and assembly, supply chain, quality, and FAA test/repair Outstanding leadership skills; ability to motivate, train, develop, and evaluate subordinates; very hands on Innovative, Agile, Team Based, and Solid Judgment abilities, and Committed to Quality and Safety Relocation assistance is available Please apply as directed.
