Director of Solution Architecture Job in Toronto, Ontario Canada
Overall accountability for leading a dynamic team of 40+ Senior Solutions Architects who are instrumental in developing the end-to-end Solutions Architecture for all major Applications initiatives.
Key Accountabilities:
• Head a centralized Solutions Architecture team made up of 40+ Solutions Architects and 7-8 direct reports.
• Provide Architectural thought-leadership to complex issues and ensuring the right tradeoffs are being made regarding considerations such as time-to-market, long term direction, business agility, safety and soundness, and so forth.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders from the Business, Operations, Applications, Infrastructure and Architecture communities and provide leadership in group dynamics situations to drive timely decisions.
• Great presentation skills and ability to present to very senior levels of management
• Seasoned architect who has done large initiatives and has lead large teams

• Ability to successfully resolve conflicts that arise from conflicting priorities
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
• Senior Solutions Architect with leadership experience from a large complex environment including Financial institutions
• Experienced in managing large architectural teams
• Seasoned Architect experienced in transformational, multi-year and multi-hundred-million dollar initiatives
• Strong presentation skills
