Director of Studies / Academic Programme Manager in Bath (3 to 4 days per week)
This company is a highly successful 'study abroad programme' for top US undergraduates. They are based in central Bath and offer a range of liberal arts courses, plus internships and school placements.
They are now looking for a highly-organised Director of Studies / Academic Programme Manager with a proven track record in undergraduate teaching to oversee all aspects of the planning, resourcing, delivery and development of their academic programme.
TITLE: Director of Studies
LOCATION: Bath
SALARY: £30,000 to £33,000 pro rata
TERMS: 3 to 4 days per week
BENEFITS: Company pension scheme (incl. employers' contribution of 3% after 3 months) Private Health Care (after 6 months), 35 days paid holiday, pro rata
The Director of Studies / Academic Programme Manager role involves:
- Timetabling
- Book-buying
- The production of syllabuses and learning outcomes
- Assessment, final reports and transcripts
As a Director of Studies / Academic Programme Manager you will work closely with course tutors and a part-time Academic Administrator to ensure essential documentation is punctually produced and that the highest standards are maintained across the range of the organisation's academic offerings.
The 'must-haves' for this Director of Studies / Academic Programme Manager role:
- Higher Degree (Masters or equivalent)
- Undergraduate level teaching experience
In this Director of Studies / Academic Programme Manager role, you will work within a small, dynamic, friendly organisation with an excellent reputation in the study abroad field. All staff members work closely with students, accompanying them on study trips and residential visits to Oxford, Stratford-on-Avon and Cornwall. The post includes the opportunity to teach and some flexibility in working days and hours. There is also future scope for involvement in student recruitment in the USA.
