Director Of Technology

Provides system design, development, maintenance across multiple platforms, computing environments. Supports corporate major business area systems, distributed processing, client server applications. Responsibilities include planning to meet the business needs w/ timely cost justified products. Essential Functions: - Provides leadership direction for business or functional area, contracts, vendors, operations, consultants - Responsible for managing the design, development, installation, maintenance of systems - Develops, monitors, justifies multiple project budgets - Provides comprehensive consultation to management regarding long short range business requirements recommends innovations which anticipate the future directions of both business information processing technology - Serves as the focal point for system planning/implementation technical architecture planning - Serves as expert in high-level problem resolution of information systems related issues - Leads multiple large-scale groups focused on managing, directing, assuring adherence to information systems standards procedures to attain secure, efficient, quality functioning of systems in major business or functional areas - Develops monitors long range data processing plans policies consistent w/ the strategic objectives plans of the business units develops budgets as per guidelines - Directs projects processes w/ user management in specifying changes to systems prioritizing requests for major business or functional areas - Establishes programming standards program documentation requirements - Provides leadership in the development dissemination of best practices across regional departments - Establishes working relationships w/ other companies vendors - Recruits develops staff - Conducts performance evaluations administers disciplinary actions as appropriate within the established personnel policies - Assists in the formulation administration of Information Systems Division policies standards Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Health Administration, Information Sciences, or related field. - Master's Degree preferred. - Ten (10) or more years of experience with progressively complex information technology responsibilities, with previous experience or exposure to the business functional area. - Significantmanagement/supervisory experience. - Extensive knowledge in project management, negotiation, system life cycle, principles of audit and control, budgeting and accounting, and risk management. - Extensive knowledge of data processing applications in the industry's environment and business area function are very helpful in order to relate to technical requirements to user needs. - Extensive knowledge in full range of application development and commercial software acquisition, support, and implementation. - Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Computer experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Access and MS Office.
