Applications are invited for appointment as Director of the University Health Service (UHS). The Director should provide leadership in the development and implementation of the University's health policies, with a view to promoting and maintaining the physical and psychological well-being of students, staff and their dependants. He/She is responsible for the management of the UHS and service contractors, as well as the deployment of resources strategically and effectively to achieve its mission.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of competence, responsiveness and integrity for the administration of health care services. They should possess a medical degree registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong, with at least 15 years' relevant experience. A specialist qualification registrable in Hong Kong in Family Medicine or equivalent is preferred. The UHS provides a range of health care services to students, as well as staff and their dependants. The appointment will be on a contract basis. A globally competitive remuneration package commensurate with the appointee's qualifications and experience will be offered. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, as well as leave, and medical benefits.
