Texas Children’s Hospital has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Third Party Payer Contracting to be responsible for the development and maintenance of managed care contracts for the Texas Children’s System to include Texas Children’s Hospital and the Texas Children’s Physician Service Organization. This position will provide oversight and supervision to the Managed Care Contracting staff assuring for the equitable distribution of assignments and resources.
Knowledge and Skills:
The following skill set is preferred:
· Knowledge of the revenue cycle including patient registration, billing requirements, collection processes/regulations, managed care reimbursement, and hospital patient accounting systems.
· Knowledge of the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes and budgeting.
· Knowledge of the EPIC HIS product id preferred.
· Ability to manage projects, processes and people.
· Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
· Ability to interpret managed care contracts, conduct meetings, operate a personal computer and promote exceptional customer service.
Formal Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Three years of leadership experience in third party payer contracting and seven years of total experience in health care
